JASH is pleased to present the Japan Currents Houston Conference, on Friday, February 28, 2020.
This conference, made possible with support from The Embassy of Japan in Washington D.C. and the National Association of Japan America Societies (NAJAS), will provide the Houston-Harris County community with the opportunity to explore impact of U.S-Japan energy partnerships on our area.
Communities, families, businesses, and schools are benefiting from record-breaking oil and gas activity here in Texas, and Japan has played a large role.
As Freeport LNG commenced commercial operations at its first liquefaction train in late 2019, liquefied natural gas has become a key component of trade activity between Texas and Japan. Japanese companies not only signed up to buy Texas LNG, they invested in projects, lent money and guaranteed loans, and even designed and built some of the LNG facilities. Moreover, Japanese companies such as Sumitomo Corporation of Americas Affliliate Pacific Summit Energy have established a dominant presence in the energy trading space.
Join distinguished guests and industry leaders for an in-depth look at energy's impact on U.S.-Japan relations.
