The Houston Ballet welcomes the city to join in celebrating their 50th anniversary season. In honor of this special occasion, the Houston Ballet is presenting Ben Stevenson’s exquisite interpretation of Sleeping Beauty. This beloved French fairytale by Charles Perrault is well known: a beautiful princess is cursed by the an evil fairy, and doomed to sleep for a hundred years – only to be awakened by the kiss of the handsome prince who loves her. Stunning costumes and spectacular sets by Desmond Heeley help make the production as magical as the classic story it tells.
