Discovery Green has announced that iFest has been cancelled to make way for safe zones to accommodate the planned protests at the NRA Convention.

The International Festival of the United States of America, also called THE iFEST USA, returns to Houston on Saturday, May 28, 2022.

In honor of AAPI Month, JASH is pleased to host a #EdamameChamp Chopstick Challenge Booth at THE iFEST USA to represent Japan and introduce Japanese Food Education, or Shokuiku, to the Houston community. Please visit the JASH booth and enjoy the fun #EdamameChamp Chopstick Challenge game by moving edamame beans to create as many circles as possible in one minute using only chopsticks.

A select few with the fastest times will be chosen for the chance to attend the US #EdamameChamp championship virtually on June 4 from 4PM CDT!

Let’s celebrate Shokuiku month in Japan and practice healthy living the Japanese way together!
