Harvard University's Weatherhead Center for International Affairs honors the late Dr. Ezra F. Vogel, Henry Ford II Professor of the Social Sciences Emeritus at Harvard University. Dr. Vogel was known and respected as the country's leading expert on East Asia. His curiosity was endless, and his energy and discipline unmeasured. As a deep and measured thinker, Dr. Vogel was a true scholar. Join the Weatherhead Center for International Affairs in celebration of the life and advances of Dr. Vogel.

Vogel had received honorary degrees from Kwansei Gakuin (Japan), the Monterrey Institute, the Universities of Maryland, Massachusetts (Lowell), Wittenberg, Bowling Green, Albion, Ohio Wesleyan, Chinese University (Hong Kong) and Yamaguchi University (Japan). He received The Japan Foundation Prize in 1996 and the Japan Society Prize in 1998. He lectured frequently in Asia, in both Chinese and Japanese.
