Maximize student performance by attending the 2016 Japanese Teachers Association of Texas (JTAT) Summer Workshop!
Dr. Yoshiko Saito-Abbott, Professor/Chair of World Languages and Cultures at California State University, Monterey Bay, and President of the American Association of Teachers of Japanese, will address ways to inspire and motivate through IPA to engage students and assess students' performance using real-world tasks that are meaningful to students.
- How can we transform classrooms and curriculum to meet the demands of the 21st Century?
- What do we need to consider for effectively implementing IPA in teaching?
Learn ways to implement IPA in a "backward design" model in which learners understand the criteria and standards for real-world tasks.
