Our hearts go out to our neighbors to the East who are dealing with the damage and devastation left in the wake of Hurricane Ida.

In effort to assist our friends at Japan Society of New Orleans (JSNO) in supporting their community, JASH will be collecting origami paper so that origami folding kits can be prepared and distributed to families in shelters.

This small gesture will help meet the need for “Books, Games, Puzzles and Activities for Families With Children” being requested by many relief agencies. Each kit will contain folding instructions for different origami creations and multiple sheets of paper.

If you have origami paper that you would like to donate, the paper can be sent to the JASH offices at the address below:

ヒューストン日米協会（JASH）は、ハリケーン・アイダによる甚大な被害を受け、避難所等で長期間にわたり不自由な生活を過ごすルイジアナの子供達のために、おりがみキットをニューオーリンズ日本協会（JSNO）を通じて届ける予定で、現在おりがみの寄付を募っています。

このおりがみキットは、多くの支援物資調達サイトに掲載されている「子供のいる家庭向けの本、ゲーム、パズル、アクティビティ」のニーズに応えるものです。

JASHはご寄付頂いたおりがみと複数の折り図を入れたおりがみキットを作成し、子供達が楽しく過ごせる時間が少しでも持てるように支援したいと考えています。

おりがみは、JASH事務所前に設置した募集箱に入れて頂くか、またはメディアメールで下記のJASH事務所まで郵送してください。
