Sister Cities of Houston invites the public to join the One World Concert 2022 in the Brown Auditorium of The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston.
This year’s theme is Journeys. It is a common thread running through the Houston community. Some members' relatives journeyed here generations ago. Other members have just recently arrived. Regardless, Houston is a destination for many and a launching pad for communities to connect. It's the place from which mankind journeyed to the Moon.
This year's One World Concert features music and dance from the Balkans, China, Germany and Venezuela. It’s sponsor, Javaid Anwar, will share his own amazing journey from Pakistan to America and his friendship with President George W. Bush and Mayor Sylvester Turner.
The One World Award will recognize the extraordinary contributions of Harry and Antje Gee and their entire family to the cause of international understanding through service to community.
Come enjoy a delightful evening of music and dance and help honor the Gee family. The event is FREE but registration in advance is required and MFAH's standard parking fees apply.
Masking and vaccinations are encouraged for the safety of others.
