The Japanese Language Scholarship Foundation (JLSF) will host the 18th Annual All-USA High School Japanese Speech Contest virtually on Sunday, June 5, 2022 at 3:00 PM CDT / 1:00 PM PDT.
This contest provides high school students studying the Japanese language in the United States (whose native language is not Japanese) to make presentations in Japanese and to inspire others to improve their proficiency in Japanese. It is also hoped that the contest will encourage students to further their understanding of Japan, its people, and its culture.
Participants are carefully selected from among those recommended by the organizers of regional contests held across the country. Texas will be represented by the 2022 Texas State Japanese Language Speech Contest 1st place winner Adanuri Anyiam from L.V. Berkner High School in Dallas and 3rd place winner Camille Koutras from Ronald Reagan High School in San Antonio.
