The Award Ceremony for the 2022 Austin Regional Japanese Language Speech Contest will take place virtually on Sunday, February 20, 2022 at 4:00 PM.
Three judges will judge all video submissions and select top three winners in each category based solely on the evaluation criteria published in the 2022 Handbook. The winners will be announced during the virtual award ceremony after viewing the top three performances for each category. Viewers should join with their video and microphone muted.

The 1st- and 2nd-place winners must complete the registration at www.jas-hou.org between 10:00 a.m. on Monday, February 21, 2022, and 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 3, 2022 in order to compete at the virtual State Speech Contest on March 12, 2022. The 1st- and 2nd-place winners who do not complete the registration for the State speech contest by 5pm on March 13, 2021 will not be able to compete in the State Speech Contest, and the 3rd-place contestants will be notified. Please be prepared to register on short notice.
