JASH and the Japan Society (JS) are pleased to announce a free, in person professional development course for teachers: Okinawa in Focus | 50 Years after Reversion to Japan.
Join us at Rice University as we commemorate the 50-year anniversary of Okinawa’s reversion to Japan from the United States. Explore the critical role Okinawa has played in U.S.-Japan security relations. Examine Okinawan social and cultural identity issues. Learn how repairs on Shuri Castle are progressing and how Okinawa is addressing historic preservation issues.

Texas in-service teachers can earn five (5) CPE credit hours upon completion of the course. JASH is a Texas Education Agency (TEA) approved CPE provider.
In-service teachers will be given priority in this FREE in person course.
