[ONLINE] U.S.-Japan Council Present: Bilateral Boardroom: Leadership Through Crisis, Lessons Learned

Please join the U.S.-Japan Council for the first edition of the Bilateral Boardroom, convening key decision-makers from business, government, and the civil sector in the United States and Japan for critical conversations around the theme of Leadership Through Crisis, Lessons Learned. The Bilateral Boardroom will feature leadership and critical lessons from prior crises, analyze the social and economic impact of the current coronavirus pandemic, and explore the future of the U.S.-Japan relationship.

Standout speakers that will be featuring in this broadcast include: Shinzo Abe, Prime Minister of Japan (TBC); Jamie Dimon, Chairman and CEO, JPMorgan Chase & Co.; Taro Kono, Minister of Defense, Government of Japan; Kathy Matsui, Vice Chair and Chief Strategist, Goldman Sachs (Japan); and Darren Walker, President, Ford Foundation, just to name a few.  Business leaders include: Tracey Doi, CFO Toyota Motors North America; Nobuyuki Hirano, Chairman, Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group; Tsuyoshi Nagano, Chairman of the Board, Tokio Marine Holdings, Inc.; Tak Niinami, CEO, Suntory Holdings Limited; and Christophe Weber, President and CEO, Takeda Pharmaceuticals Ltd. 

The program will include a tribute from Defense Minister Taro Kono to USJC’s Founding President, the late Irene Hirano Inouye, who, together with other Japanese American leaders, founded USJC; a fireside chat on crisis leadership; insight videos from industry and community leaders and additional content to be announced.
