The annual JASH Gala will take place on Saturday, October 31, 2015, at The Omni Hotel and Resorts Galleria Houston.
The 2015 edition of this festive black-tie gathering will showcase elements of today’s Japanese culture and economic life together with their historical and traditional foundations. We invite you to enjoy an evening of fine dining, international networking, a silent auction with many unique items, and a stimulating program hosted by Houston’s own Shara Fryer. We are enthused that Hideki Kunugi, Senior Vice President of All Nippon Airways (ANA) Americas, graciously has agreed to serve as Honorary Chair of the Gala and that Harris County Judge Ed Emmett will be our Keynote Speaker.
ANA, which now provides non-stop service to Tokyo from Houston, recently selected Houston as its 11th destination in the Americas. ANA recognized the importance of Houston as a focus of investment activity by Japanese companies as well as its importance as a gateway to Latin America. Senior Vice President Kunugi, the senior ANA executive in the United States, recently assumed responsibility for all marketing, sales, airport operations, reservations and cargo services for the airline in the Americas region.
Judge Emmett, who formerly served as a Commissioner of the U.S. Interstate Commerce Commission, is an internationally recognized expert on transportation policy and logistics with long experience in the maritime transportation industry. He is also the director of Harris County’s Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management.
Please join us as we celebrate the 47th anniversary of the Japan-America Society of Houston (JASH).
