The Japan-America Society of Houston (JASH) is a non-profit organization incorporated in 1968 to provide a non-political forum for discussion of issues between the United States and Japan and to promote greater cultural understanding between the people of both countries. The mission of the Japan America Society of Houston is to provide programs which increase the knowledge and understanding of Japan by Americans, and to encourage communication between the Japanese and Americans.
We operate on many levels; frequent programs examine art and culture, business and current events. The Society, since its founding, has become the cultural resource and clearinghouse in the City of Houston for all things Japanese.
We invite you to become a member of the Japan-America Society of Houston. Hundreds of Houstonians have become members of this society, which was founded 46 years ago. We invite you to join our organization to absorb the Japanese culture while assisting us in promoting harmony between the United States and Japan.
Session II of the 2015 JASH Japanese Language Program begins the week of March 23.
